United Colors of Benetton to Expand in Russia, Sanctions be Damned

Remember when United Colors of Benetton ran the UNHATE marketing campaign, showing male political figures kissing each other? Well, Benetton might want to hold off with any expansion of that program; Benetton announced it was expanding its operations in Russia on Monday, according to the Moscow Times. Benetton plans to reopen its primary store in Moscow, and add 40 more across the country over the next three years, connected directly to the parent company.  Benetton’s CEO noted he was concerned about sanctions and countersanctions, but compared it to the weather, stating, “You are not planning a storm, but sometimes a storm happens.”
